David Selwood - The Artist

A Londoner originally, David Selwood attended Ealing Art College in the 60s to study the ‘Ground Course’, one of the most influential changes in art education in the last century. This was then followed by a period at the Industrial Design at Central School of Art.

David eventually pursued a career as an industrial designer before moving to Tisbury with his wife and young family in the 1980s, where he became well known in the surrounding area for his craftsmanship with wood and metal.

In recent years, encouraged by friends including local children’s author Lizzie Brodrick-Barker, whose books Bwana the Bwave and Bwana the Bwilliant David illustrated, he has rediscovered his passion for painting and drawing. This website shows some of his more recent work.
